Creativity Was My Journey To Success

From repeating the third grade and learning to read at a late age, to graduating from two Ivy League schools and receiving a Ph.D. from NYU, the power of creative arts saved my life.   

 I was introduced to acting at the age of nine while repeating the third grade. Wresting with low self-esteem and trying to make sense of my reality, acting changed my life. Not only did it enhance my self-esteem and self-worth, but acting gave me the innovative tools to explore my reality and the voice to tell my story.             

While learning about character development, which includes things such as character motivation, expectations, wants, and needs, I learned how to explore, identify, evaluate, and express my own emotions.  I gained the skills to not only tell my characters' stories but to take control of my personal narrative.  I now have two master's degrees and a Ph.D. If I did not have the opportunity to explore and express my creative self, obtaining these degrees would not have been possible.          

  I am blessed to have shared my gift of acting and creative writing not only in America but throughout the world. I desire to provide a platform where EVERYONE can release their creative potential in a space where ability meets opportunity.
